SEMDirector, Inc., the leading provider of enterprise search analytics software and Omniture (Nasdaq: OMTRNews), a leading provider of online business optimization software, jointly announced today the formation of an alliance to provide a select portfolio of integrated software solutions. Under the terms of this agreement, the two companies will work together to extend the integration between Omniture’s Web analytics products and SEMDirector’s enterprise search analytics solutions.

The integration between these two product suites provides global, distributed organizations with unparalleled visibility, actionable metrics and robust functionality to manage and optimize all facets of search engine marketing across the entire enterprise. As part of this new alliance, SEMDirector also announced its participation in Omniture’s accreditation and certification programs for technology and sales.

omniture_logo3.gif Omniture was recently named the leading on-demand Web analytics provider by revenue in a report by IDC, an independent global research and advisory firm for the technology industry. The report highlights Omniture’s revenue growth from 2004 to 2005, stating “Omniture experienced very high growth in 2005… and is now the leading on-demand Web analytics provider by revenue.” It continues to discuss significant achievements in 2005 and 2006, including Omniture’s release of SearchCenter, its keyword bid management solution.

This IDC study shows vendor revenue for the Web analytics market for 2003–2005 as well as projections for 2006–2010. It includes a quantification of the changes in market concentration as well as profiles of several leading vendors.

IDC also highlights Omniture’s innovative business developments announced in 2006, such as the Omniture Solutions Network™ — the Web analytics industry’s first partner network of certified solutions and services, and Omniture’s My Marketing Network™ — an interface that easily integrates partner solutions and services to provide customers with one source to manage multiple business initiatives.

Omniture improves customer service with their regional customer user groups in six major cities across the United States. More than 300 marketing and business professionals representing 178 companies atttended the free groups to learn best practices, share ideas and discuss experiences

Interacting with other webanalytic professionals is a great idea. More and more people join this industry and their ideas should be exchanged and involved in the product development. I really like how Omniture, Websidestory, Clicktracks and many others touch base with the community.

The Omniture event is only 2,5 hours, which is not very long to go through serious stuff, but better than nothing. What astonishes me is that many great webanalytic products that are out there but don’t really provide any training or help. The ususal training efforts are often limited to a pdf whitepaper of 500 pages, which nobody is willing to read anyways.

It would be nice to hear that also non Omniture users (later maybe Omniture customers) can join this event.
